The Wrath is a straight edge band hailing from San Francisco & Salinas, CA, cities typically identified as hedonistic drug paradises, not your typical breeding ground for a militant straight edge band. The Wrath began in 2003 and quickly self-released an 8 song EP, which speaks loudly of the band's DIY mentality in a hardcore scene where bands no longer seem willing to release their own music, book their own shows, or manage their own affairs. A year later and the band was back in the studio again with Zack Ohren recording a 4 song demo, which caught the attention of High Fidelity Records, who re-released the demo as a 7" entitled "It's Over, I'm Done." In October of 2005, the band entered The Sweat Box and began work on their debut full-length with producer Scott Crouse, famed guitar player for Earth Crisis/Path of Resistance. The chemistry was perfect and the The Wrath's self-titled CD was released on High Fidelity Records on 06/06/06. The music was heavy and fast, the vocals guttural and pissed, and the band ready to lay waste to anything in their path. Only a month after the CD had been released and the band was signed to Seventh Dagger Records. They are currently finishing up material for their EP, which will be recorded in late October/early November. So when do they sleep?
