The West Coast has been a breeding ground for socially-conscious vegan straight edge bands over the past decade, and if Seattle’Äôs Parasitic Skies represents the next wave, we can rest assured that the struggle against oppression for human and non-humans alike will continue. Featuring members of This Time Tomorrow, musically, the band can be compared to many of the early vegan straight edge European bands such as Arkangel or Maroon, although they have a heavy crust influence as well from bands like Tragedy and Catharsis. Heavy and uncompromising, Parasitic Skies will certainly appeal to a wide range of the hardcore and metal scenes as they continue their struggle against injustice and inequality.
